What you should know about HVAC Brands

Tony Anderson, Partner, discusses why parts availability is important in selecting and HVAC brand.

When purchasing a unit be careful with your brand selection.  Make sure you get a major manufacturer such as Trane, Carrier, Rheem, or Lennox. They are good units and parts are available. Steer clear of other units that do not have a good parts system. What I mean by that is that there are some units where every part they have is a week away. They can be under warranty and that’s great, but if they don’t have any in stock it’s no good to any of us. So a lot of the time we have to order this part because it’s a warranty part and then wait a week to get it. But you don’t have that problem with Trane, Carrier, Lennox, or Rheem.  Make sure you stick with the major manufacturers.
